Step 1 - Cut the top
Right okay I think I have over estimated how easy this is like I cut a circle but it took me 20 minutes trying to figure out why it would come out for my mum to walk in telling me the circle was too small and that I had to twist it. What can I say, I'm abit hopeless.
Step 2 - Get out the yucky stuff
This was a traumatic experience, I don't know how but I got pumpkin in my hair and somehow the dog was eating some; I'm guessing my technique wasn't the best. Legit this probably took me and hour, like I don't even know what I was doing I was like scarping a spoon on the sides and hoped for a best. My techniques may have not been the best but I got it done finally.
Step 3 - Bake off break
Can say I'm happy with who won
Step 4 - drawing a design
So I didn't want to be basic and do a scary face, although my mum did say "with your art talent you may be better just making a pumpkin" yikes spice is real. I was gonna go with tinker bell but she wasn't scary enough so I drew a tree to carve.
Step 5 - Carving
So I roughly sketched out my tree before I started to get the proportion right because that would of really stressed me out. Then I began carving which was actually easy to get through but straight lines were my best friends because anything else was too hard. This part is actually really fun and satisfying when you see that more of it is finished.
Step 6 - Showing the mother
Not gonna lie I was impressed with my first pumpkin carving sesh, like it could have gone a lot better but also a lot worse. Anyway I showed my mum and she asked me what it was, I was so offended so told her it was a tree. She then said that it didn't look like a tree like pretty sure it did hun. But anyway I went to get a tea light and turned the light off and ten se did take it back and said it was a god tree; feeling honoured.
So that was my first pumpkin carving experience, hope you enjoyed and till next time remember to choose happiness.
